Ceiling Collapse Closes Section Of Stamford Train Station, 1 Injured
A portion of a suspended concrete ceiling over a stairway vestibule at the Stamford Train Station collapsed, sending riders scrambling to get out of the way. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 31 on the Station Place side of the station (Tracks 4 and 2) and the stairway between the platform and the lower concourse tunnel, said Stamford Deputy Fire Chief John Pritchard.
