Hit-Run Crash: Man Seriously Injured In Danbury A man was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Danbury around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 in the area of 9A Clapboard Ridge Road. When officers arrived, they found the man in the roadway with serious injuries, said Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Police Department. The victim has not yet been identified by police. Henry said the vehicle fled from the area before police arrived and has not been identified. The man was transported to the Danbury Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  Clapboard Ridg…

Danbury Cracks Down On Businesses Selling Alcohol To Minors In an effort to cut down on underage drinking and determine compliance with state law a Fairfield County police force conducted a check of 47 businesses that sell alcohol. On Friday, Aug. 25, Danbury Police officers along with the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control conducted unannounced inspections of the businesses located within the city.  Of the 47 businesses checked, eight sold alcohol to an underage minor, Det. Teen Busted For Drugs Following Crash In Fairfield County An 18-year-old girl was busted by Danbury police on multiple counts of drug possession following a vehicle crash on Clapboard Ridge Road. Emily Burkhardt of Sherman was arrested on Feb. 8, after a police officer responding to the crash detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from Burkhardt's vehicle, said Danbury Police Det. Lt.
