Stamford Mayor To Undergo Surgery After Fall In City Hall After experiencing a fall in City Hall, Stamford Mayor David Martin is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a torn tendon. While meeting with Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown in City Hall, Martin fell down a set of stairs and ruptured the quadriceps tendon in his right knee on Wednesday, June 19, officials say. As a result, Martin will undergo surgery to repair the tendon and will be unavailable for public appearances until Monday, July 8.
