Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help to track down the people who left a ball python at a reservoir in Hartford County. Video from the Nepaug Reservoir off Route 202 in Canton showed several people dumping the snake and running away just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, Burlington and Canton Animal Control said in a Facebook post. The wife of a University of Connecticut professor has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and keeping his body in the basement for several months to keep cashing his paychecks. Hartford County resident Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, age 76, of Burlington, pleaded guilty Monday, March 11, to manslaughter and larceny, according to Sharmese L. An investigation is underway after shots were fired in a Connecticut neighborhood. Troopers in Hartford County received a report at about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from a Burlington resident who heard gunshots fired on West Ledge Road, Connecticut State Police reported. The Hartford County incidents took place in Burlington around dusk on Sunday, Oct. 2 in the Johnnycake Mountain Road area. A hiker with a severe reaction to bee stings was saved from hiking trails in Hartford County. Firefighters in Burlington said they were alerted to a distressed hiker Saturday, Aug. 15 at around 11 a.m. They responded to the blue-yellow trail on the Torys Den Hiking Trail.
