Bobcat Spotted In Brookfield By Man Walking Dog A local man got a big surprise while taking a routine walk with his dog in northern Fairfield County. The incident happened around 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11 just north of I-84 in Brookfield, at the Happy Landings Protected Open Space on Whisconier Road. (Click on the second image above.) Bobcat Tests Positive For Rabies After Attacking Golfer, Horse The bobcat that attacked a golfer in Connecticut tested positive for rabies. The man was attacked by the animal at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 18 while golfing at the seventh hole of the Mohegan Sun Golf Club in Baltic. Officials said that another golfer was able to fight the bobcat off. The golfer was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries. Members of the Connecticut DEEP Wildlife Divison were called to the golf course, and the bobcat was eventually located and euthanized. According to police, the bobcat later attacked a horse before b…
