Martha Stewart's Cat Killed By Her Four Dogs In Northern Westchester
Martha Stewart is mourning the death of one of her fluffy cats named Princess Peony after she was killed by her four dogs in New York. On Sunday, March 3, Stewart posted to Instagram the news that her dogs mistook the "unusual" cat on her 153-acre farm located in Northern Westchester County in the hamlet of Katonah. She wrote: "burying the beautiful and unusual Princess Peony, the four dogs mistook her for an interloper and killed her defenseless little self. I will miss her very badly. Do You Know This Bird? Stray Parakeet Found In Rye Brook
A stray parakeet found in Westchester is now being cared for at the New Rochelle Humane Society. The bird, a fluffy white budgie, was found on Irenhyl Avenue in Rye and taken to the Rye Brook Police Department Monday afternoon, June 10. Rye Police said on Tuesday, June 11 that the bird was in the possession of the shelter. Anyone who thinks they recognize the parakeet may call 914-632-2925. The bird "looks well cared for and appears to be in good shape," according to the New Rochelle Humane Society.
