The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that they issued warning letters to certain companies. Missing New Canaan Man Found Safe In Norwalk Update: The 86-year-old man who went missing Wednesday afternoon has been located Wednesday evening in Norwalk and is safe, New Canaan Police report. Earlier report: An alert has been issued by the New Canaan Police Department following the disappearance of an 86-year-old man who went missing from an adult day care program. Home Health Aid Sentenced For Stamford Thefts A Bridgeport home health aide hired to care for an elderly Alzheimer's patient was sentenced to five years in jail Friday for stealing $26,000 from the 81-year-old woman. During sentencing in Stamford, Philliann Barnett, 39, was given a 10-year sentence, reduced by half. She will also have to pay restitution and will serve five years of probation following her release. Barnett, who was arrested in December 2015 for the crime, committed numerous acts of fraud, which led to losses of over $26,000 to the Springdale woman, the Stamford Police said following an investigation.
