This Fairfield County School District Ranked As Best In Nation New Canaan School District was named the "best school district" in Connecticut by 24/7 Wall St. The financial news and opinion company based in Delaware ranks Best School Districts in every state. The survey based its top ranking on New Canaan's per student spending of $22,023 and percent of adults with a bachelor's degree, at 77.7 percent. Its district enrollment is 4,201.
