Tree Falls, Kills Man In CT During Sudden Storm A 53-year-old man was killed after a tree fell on him in Connecticut during a sudden thunderstorm.  The incident happened in Windham County just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, when a man walking in the area of Union Street and Jackson Avenue in Willimantic was hit by a fallen tree during a storm, according to Willimantic Fire Chief Marc Scrivener.  According to Scrivener, the man had been in "the wrong place at the wrong time." Woman Found Dead By Workers In Stamford Pool Identified A Stamford woman found dead in her backyard pool by a group of painters who had come to paint the home has been identified. Christine Manna, 58, was found dead around 8:30 a.m., Friday, July 5, at her home located at 35 Woodley Road, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
