Boston College's Cam Atkinson, who led the team to the NCAA ice hockey championship last winter, was honored by the Fairfield County Sports Commission as Greenwich's Sports Person of the Year. Atkinson was honored at the group's SportsNight celebration last month at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.
Atkinson scored twice in Boston College's 5-0 win over Wisconsin in the national championship game. He was also named the team's MVP.
