Signup Begins for Greenwich Indoor Field Hockey

GREENWICH, Conn. — Do you have a field hockey player at home who needs to stay in shape in the off-season? Sign them up beginning Oct. 17 for the Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation's indoor field hockey clinics.

The program, to be held at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center, will help children develop skills in stick work, passing, receiving, shooting, basic offensive and defense skills, and small sided games.

The classes will meet for four Sundays beginning Nov. 27. Session 1 will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children 8 and 9 years old. Session 2 will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for children ages 10 to 12.

Registration for the clinics will begin by mail only starting Monday, Oct. 17, through Friday, Oct. 21. In person registration will begin Monday, Oct. 24, at the Bendheim Western Civic Center located at 449 Pemberwick Road.
