PURCHASE, N.Y. After a noteworthy fall season, the Manhattanville College mens golf team was rewarded with its first national ranking in the program's history. Manhattanville is No. 25 in the final Golf World/Nike Golf Division III College Coaches Poll of the fall season.
Manhattanville earned this honor after a breakout fall season. The Valiants won consecutive tournaments the Hamilton Fall Invitational and Manhattanville/NYU Fall Classic. They also had two second-place finishes. Led by George Tischler, a resident of Greenwich, Conn., who shot a program-standard 69 this fall, Manhattanville had a stroke of 304.8 for 12 rounds, also a team record.
