Hoops League To Form Teams

The professional basketball season kicks off tomorrow night, and the Greenwich men’s league is not far behind. The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an organizational and registration meeting for its  men’s basketball league on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center, 449 Pemberwick Road.

Anyone who wants to form or join a team in the league must attend. The league will feature a resident league and two levels of corporate leagues. The entry fee of $300 is due Nov. 12.

Games are played Monday thru Thursday evenings at various gym locations around town. The league is set to begin Jan. 3. For more information, check out the 2011 Men's Basketball information sheet.
