Greenwich's Colligan Earns All-American Honor

GREENWICH, Conn. — She already has back-to-back conference championships and an all-conference honors under her belt. Now Greenwich High School girls soccer standout Shannon Colligan can add All-American to her résumé.

The National Soccer Coaches of America named Colligan to the All-American team earlier this week. The Cardinals' senior forward scored 20 goals this season for the conference champions and is bound for North Carolina State University next year. Colligan notched 150 points in her high school career.

Colligan was one of four Connecticut girls to earn All-American honors. Trumbull's Alysa Christo, Northwest Catholic's Jessica Fontaine and Paula Rose Hogopian of the Kingswood Oxford School were the others.
