Greenwich Swimmers Dive Into Norwalk Meet

GREENWICH, Conn. – Swimmers from the Greenwich Dolphins swim team competed last weekend at the Marie Corridon Mortell Invitational at Norwalk High School.

The meet for swimmers ages 10-and-under honored Mortell, who won a gold medal in the Summer Olympics in 1948. The Norwalk native was a member of the freestyle relay team that won Olympic gold.

Swimmers from Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and Darien were among the competitors.
