Greenwich Squash Pro Goes for World Title

GREENWICH, Conn. — Squash pro Ned Marks will compete in the Pro Squash Tour's World Championship tournament at the Detroit Athletic Club on May 4 to 6. Marks is one of the Pro Squash Tour's top eight players invited to the tour's season finale.

Marks grew up in Greenwich and graduated from Brunswick High School. He has made an inspiring rise from being the top player at Denison University to turning pro in 2009. Marks now travels the country on the Pro Squash Tour, picking up points with solid finishes throughout the year. He did not win a tournament title, but his consistent performance earned him an invitation to Detroit. His best result was reaching the finals of the Connecticut Open.

Marks was the head coach of the St. Luke's boys varsity squash team last year, but he left to focus on the Pro Squash Tour.
