Greenwich Relay Takes Second at New Englands

GREENWICH,  Conn. – Greenwich’s track and field team finished second in the 4 x 200 relay to lead an outstanding night for the Cardinals in the New England Track and Field championships Friday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

The team of Marcus Motill, Elijah Dume, Nick Pulitano and Ryan Kelly ran 1:30.28 to grab second. Chelmsford, Mass. won the race in 1:29.83.

Motill and Kelly both did well in individual events. Motill took third in the 600, and Kelly was sixth in the 300. Motill’s time of 1:21.08 ranks 11th in the country in that event.

For the girls, senior Abby Markowitz finished third in the  1,000, while her sister, Elizabeth, was ninth in the 600. The girls were fifth in the 4 x 200 relay with Amanda Michaud, Claire D’Etiveaud, Emily Johnson and Naomi Leeds. The 4 x 400 relay took 13th.
