More Than 500 Triathletes Race In Greenwich Cup

GREENWICH, Conn. – More than 500 triathletes competed in the 26th annual Greenwich Cup Triathlon on Sunday morning. David Demres of New Haven (1:04:45) and Megan Kelly of Stamford (1:12:10) were the top male and female finishers, respectively.

Participants competed in a half-mile swim, a 15-mile bike ride and a three-mile run.

Top local finishers included Zachariah Pratt of Riverside (1st place, men's 30-39 age group, 1:08:56), Mariana Frias of Riverside (1st place, women's 19-and-under, 1:27:51), Jerry Haas of Greenwich (1st place, men's 60-69, 1:25:53), John Cook of Stamford (1st place, men's 70-79, 1:40:27) and Blanche O'Connell of Greenwich, (1st place, women's 60-69, 2:13:43).
