There is room for 124 golfers to play, and they will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is $350 per player. Registration and lunch will both begin at 11 a.m. A shotgun tee-off and scramble will follow at 1 p.m.
Beverages will be served throughout the course during the whole event. After the outing is complete, there will be a cocktail hour and dinner, starting at 5 p.m. There will also be raffle and door prizes. The proceeds from the entry fees, along with the hole, bronze, silver and gold sponsorships, make the golf tournament and dinner one of Greenwich Old Timers Association’s biggest fundraisers.
The inaugural year for the Branca Brothers Charity Golf Tournament was 1997. The name honors Joe and Jim Branca, who founded the Greenwich Old Timers Association. The organization promotes and supports youth sports programs and has provided 96 student-athletes with college scholarships.
More than $650,000 has been donated in these areas by the Greenwich Old Timers Association. To register for the golf outing, visit the website at www.greenwicholdtimers.org before Sept. 1. For more information, contact Griff Harris by calling 203-869-9200 or emailing gharris@griffitheharris.com.
