Greenwich Golfer Gets Win for Manhattanville

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Manhattanville College men’s golf team closed out its fall season with another award-winning performance.

Led by George Tischler, the Valiants won the two-day Manhattanville/NYU Fall Golf Classic, which concluded Monday at Hudson National Golf Club.

Tischler shot a 72-79 to earn medalist honors. The Valiants carded a two-day total of 622 (314-308). Once again, Manhattanville had an excellent second round to earn the win, overcoming runner-up Middlebury and third-place Farmingdale State.

Nick Sica had a strong tournament, shooting 79-75 to finish tied for second. Sica’s 75 on Monday was a team low. Mike Cresci had a two-day total of 159, Juan Ayala was 11th (161) and Lem Randall was 19th (165).
