GREENWICH, Conn. The Greenwich High girls lacrosse team caught fire at just the right time last season. Despite losing five of six straight conference games in the back half of their season, the Cardinals came alive in the state tournament. Greenwich outscored opponents, 52-35, in the Class L playoffs en route to its first state championship since 2005.
In the video, head coach Caitlin Keane discusses why she thinks her team is ready to make a run at another state title and take aim at a conference title. Greenwich was eliminated in the first round of the conference tournament last season.
The Greenwich girls lacrosse team opens its 2012 season at home Wednesday. The Cardinals host Hall at 5 p.m.
