The Greenwich High School varsity cheerleaders came up short for the top spot in the FCIAC cheerleading championship, but still got their best result in four years. Greenwich came in second with 157 points at the championships held recently at Wilton High School. It is Greenwich's best finish at the FCIACs since finishing second in 2007.
The Cardinals eked out their second place finish over Fairfield Ludlowe, which came in third with 155 points. Greenwich finished behind Fairfield Warde, which won its third FCIAC title with a 166.8-point performance.
