Greenwich Catholic Tennis Grabs First Win

The Greenwich Catholic School varsity tennis team notched its first team win of the season over Bi-Cultural School of Stamford on Thursday. In a hard-fought and well-played contest, Michael Blevin defeated Richie Greenbaum, 8-6, in the No. 1 singles match. Jorge Gonzalez played an almost flawless match winning, 8-1, over a very determined Talia Weslie. Sophia Gould continued the streak for Greenwich Catholic, winning, 8-0, over Max Lipkin.

In doubles action, Greenwich Catholic’s Jackson Day hit the winner as he and partner Mark Demartio defeated Nicole Lapkpoff and Mira Schild Kraut, 6-5. Charles Steele and Tess Fox closed out the day with an 8-0 win over Bi-Cultural's Liam Bedurtha and Meital Weiderhorn.
