GREENWICH, Conn. — University of New Hampshire quarterback Kevin Decker, a former Brunswick star from Armonk, N.Y., completed 21 of 28 passes for the University of New Hampshire last week in a 55-28 loss to Toledo in the Wildcats' season-opener.

New Hampshire, ranked No.10 in the nation in the Football Championship Subdivision, trailed 17-0 after one quarter as Toledo scored three touchdowns in less than three minutes. Decker tried to rally the Wildcats, throwing for 162 yards. He also threw an interception.

Decker played in 13 games last season, primarily as a backup quarterback. He threw for five touchdowns and one interception, and had 289 yards passing in a game against Bethune-Cookman. He led Brunswick to a 34-1 record and three New England Class C titles during a brilliant high school career.
