With sports heading inside in the cool weather, the Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will begin registration by mail for indoor field hockey clinics on Monday, Oct. 18. In-person registration begins Monday, Oct. 25, at the Bendheim Western Civic Center, 449 Pemberwick Road, Greenwich.
The clinics will begin Sunday, Nov. 28, and run for four weeks until Dec. 19. Session 1 will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages 8 and 9. Session 2 will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for children ages 10 to 12. The program will help children develop skills in stick work, passing, receiving, shooting, basic offensive and defensive skills, and small sided games.
