GREENWICH, Conn. The Brunswick baseball team remains one of the hottest teams in the Fairchester Athletic Association after winning its sixth game in a row. Jack Voigt drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth as the Bruins went on to win 7-5 over Kent in a Major League-length nine-inning game.
Brian Schutzman supplied another solid outing, striking out six in five innings. He did not allow an earned run all five Kent runs came on errors. Harry Polak got the win in relief for the Bruins, pitching four scoreless innings.
Brunswick (6-2) travels to league rival St. Luke's on Tuesday for a 4:15 p.m. game.
