Brunswick Grad Guides UNH to National Playoffs

GREENWICH, Conn. – Former Brunswick High football star Kevin Decker led the University of New Hampshire back to the Division I Football Championship Subdivision playoffs. The Wildcats received one of 10 at-large bids to the playoffs and will play at Montana State on Dec. 3 in a second round game.

New Hampshire (8-3) earned a trip to the national playoffs for the eighth straight season, the longest streak in the country. Decker, a senior from Armonk, N.Y., has been a big reason why.

Decker completed 16-of-30 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday’s 30-27 win over Maine. The Wildcats’ offense is ranked eighth nationally with more than 444 yards per game. Decker is ranked sixth nationally in pass efficiency and fifth in total offense.

The quarterback is thriving in his first year as a starter. At Brunswick, he led the team to a 34-1 record and three Class C New England championships.
