Brunswick Baseball Aims for League Title Friday

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Brunswick baseball team is back in the Fairchester Athletic Association finals, and the Bruins will be taking on a familiar opponent. For the third time in four years, Brunswick takes on Hopkins in New Haven for the league title at 4:15 p.m.

Behind the pitching of Brian Schutzman and Bradley Wilpon and a relentless offense led by Jack Voigt, Brandon Muto and Jack Kono, the Bruins posted a 10-4 conference record. The Bruins pounded St. Luke's in the quarterfinals on Monday and survived Rye Country Day School on Wednesday to reach the championship game.

Brunswick is coached by Johnny Montanez.
