Author Recalls Fenway at Greenwich Library Talk

A small but loyal contingent of members of the Red Sox Nation, along with a few members of the Yankee Evil Empire, assembled at the Greenwich Library on Saturday afternoon to hear Harvey Frommer discuss his new book, "Remembering Fenway Park." The coffee table volume traces the history of America's oldest ballpark and is full of rare photos and memorabilia, many of which were shown during Frommer's hourlong presentation.

"There's a passion for Fenway that doesn't exist for other ballparks," said Frommer. Examples of that passion came after his presentation when many members of the audience spoke of their own Fenway memories, some going back seven decades.

Frommer, a native New Yorker who "converted" from Yankee fan to Red Sox fan after moving to New Hampshire, has also written a similar book about Yankee Stadium, and signed copies of both volumes after the presentation concluded.
