Rotary Donates $20K to Family Centers

Preschoolers at Family Centers will be receiving aid to prepare for success in kindergarten and beyond due to a $20,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Greenwich.

The Family Centers' Head Start Preschools offer educational programs for 3- and 4-year-old children of Greenwich residents who live in public or subsidized housing. Through the Head Start program, children get the chance to learn and grow in a classroom.

Adults looking to better their careers will also benefit from the grant. The money will be equally split between the Head Start Preschool and the Reaching Independence Through Employment program. Low-income residents will be provided with career counseling and vocational training services. Adults will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of computers and resume writing and access to referral services.
