Robots Invade Greenwich Academy

Robots took over Greenwich Academy's Young Assembly Hall on Wednesday as students worked tirelessly on their robots in the classroom and after school.

The "World of Robots" incorporates GA's new curriculum piece called STEM, short for science, technology, engineering and math. Jack Burris, an expert in robotics and technology, visited the Lower and Middle Schools to discuss the future of robots and the role they play in our lives today. He told the girls that scientists, engineers and mathematicians use technology to extend our human capabilities and to make the impossible possible.

Students in Groups I through IV interacted with many robots, including the Hero I and ROBONOVA I. Some girls got a chance to control Hero I through voice motion sensors.
