Literary Fans Flock to Greenwich Academy

The 2011 Writers Festival at Greenwich Academy invited literary enthusiasts from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Brunswick School and Greenwich Academy to hear from three visiting writers, who kicked off the festival by reading excerpts from their work.

Fiction writer Nalini Jones, poet and artist Rachel Eliza Griffiths and playwright Steven Levenson inspired students with their use of language and character development. After the readings, students participated in workshops with the guest writers. In one exercise, Levenson asked students to hold a vegetable and turn it into a character.
