The district has 11 elementary schools, three middle schools and Greenwich High School. The district also operates the Greenwich Public Preschool and the Greenwich Alternative High School.
The system is led by Superintendent William McKersie, who was chosen for the job in 2012 and was Greenwich's fifth superintendent in the past 12 years.
The schools range in size from the 229-pupil New Lebanon Elementary School to Greenwich High School with 2,691 students, according to the district's website. The enrollment in 2014-15 was 8,803 with the average elementary class size at 19.6.
