Greenwich Schools Host Digital Learning Workshops For Parents

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Parents are invited to take part in a series of workshops focusing on digital learning offered by the Greenwich Public Schools in January and February.

The Greenwich School System will offer a series of workshops for parents to learn about digital life, including a series of classes on iPads.

The workshops, for elementary, middle and high-school parents, will cover: Digital safety and monitoring use at home; schoology; file management and collaboration with Goggle apps; research and eBooks and textbooks; personalized technology tools for all students, and a day in the life of an Apple iPad.

The Elementary Parent Workshops will also include five parent iPad training sessions at the Apple Greenwich store, 356 Greenwich Ave., from January through April. Click here to register for the iPad training.

The workshops will be held:

  • Elementary school level: Jan. 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Greenwich School.
  • Middle school level: Jan 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Central Middle School
  • High school level: Feb. 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Greenwich High School
  • Elementary school level: Feb. 23, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hamilton Avenue School
