Greenwich Schools Head to Stay 3 Additional Days

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sidney A. Freund has agreed to extend his contract by three days to cover the time before Interim Superintendent Dr. Roger Lulow begins on Aug. 23, the district said Wednesday.

Freund's last day was supposed to have been Wednesday, Aug. 17. Board of Education Chairman Steve Anderson said, "We are grateful to Dr. Freund for agreeing to stay an additional three days in order to provide continuity of leadership and particularly to provide critical oversight of the impact on school and district operations due to the environmental evaluation currently underway at Greenwich High School."
