Greenwich School Honors Its Academic Achievers

Fourteen Upper School students at Greenwich's Convent of the Sacred Heart were honored for

academic achievement at the school’s Cum Laude Society ceremony on April 26.

Head of School Pamela Juan Hayes and Upper School Head Jayne Collins presented certificates and pins from the national Cum Laude Society to the honorees.

An assembly of students and parents heard Christina Ciardullo, an architect who graduated from the private school in 2002, speak about finding passion and intellectual pursuits. She praised the school’s commitment to its mission: encouraging young women to be leaders in their chosen fields.

The national Cum Laude Society recognizes superior academic achievement in the nation’s secondary schools. In addition to their academic standing, the 14 girls inducted last month have excelled in many other areas of school life, including leadership, athletics, broadcast journalism, community service and the arts.
