Greenwich Academy and Brunswick School students showed off their spirit, camaraderie and fancy footwork at a joint celebration of Cinco de Mayo last week.
Girls wore long skirts and flowers made in art class in their hair. The boys added sporty sombreros to their uniform for the mornings festivities. Lower School students joined together in learning songs and dances that celebrate the Mexican holiday and acknowledge other Spanish-speaking countries as part of their multicultural exploration.
Under the direction of Senora Casanova and Senor Marban, students showed off their proficiency in Spanish and sense of fun as the boys played air guitar during La Bamba and the girls recited the months of the year and counted to 1000 while doing La Macarena.
