Greenwich High Ranked Among Best in the Nation

GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich High School ranks among the best 1,000 public high schools in the nation, according to Newsweek.

Greenwich was ranked 561 in the magazine’s annual "America's Best High Schools" list, which is based primarily on how well schools turn out college-ready graduates. Greenwich has a 95 percent graduation rate, and 90 percent of its students are college bound. The list is based on data in six areas provided by school administrators from 2,300 participating school districts.

The ranking considers graduation rate (25 percent); college matriculation rate (25 percent); the number of Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate/Advanced International Certificate of Education tests taken per student (25 percent) as well as the scores on these exams (10 percent); and the average SAT/ACT college entrance exam scores (10 percent).
