GREENWICH, Conn. -- Thomas Healy has been named the new assistant principal at Western Middle School, according to a Greenwich Public Schools statement.

Healy, the current assistant dean of student life for Clark House at Greenwich High, takes over the position effective Monday.

"Mr. Healy’s teaching and administration experience, his knowledge of Greenwich, and his strong leadership skills make him the ideal choice for Western Middle School," Greenwich Superintendent of Schools William McKersie said in the statement. "I am especially pleased by his dedication to help Western's staff, students and parents come together and push for outstanding results. Mr. Healy will be a great addition to [WMS Principal] Mr. Gordon Beinstein's leadership team."
