Proposed Greenwich Budget Reflects $16.8 Million Increase

GREENWICH, Conn. -- First Selectman Peter Tesei's proposed budget for 2016-17 will be revealed at a special Board of Estimate and Taxation Budget Committee meeting Wednesday, according to Greenwich Time.

The proposed $427.9 million budget reflects a $16.8 million increase from the previous year's budget and calls for a mill rate increase of 2.73 percent, said Greenwich Time.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Superintendent of Schools William McKersie will discuss the school portion of the budget at 6:30 p.m. followed by a public hearing at 7 p.m., reported Greenwich Time.
