Greenwich Protester Calls For Obama Impeachment

GREENWICH, Conn. – Obama protester Chris Sare was asking residents Wednesday to help him impeach the president, and caught a mixture of flack and support from passersby on Greenwich Avenue.

“That's not right. You're going to offend a lot of Jewish people that way,” said Greenwich resident Alexandria Ortiz in response to Sare's picture of President Obama sporting a Hitler mustache.

Sare said that, although he identifies as a Democrat, he thinks the president is abusing his power and acts unconstitutionally. He said Obama is able to detain citizens without cause, and has killed three Americans in Yemen around October. Sare also said the bank bailouts are criminal and are ruining the world's economy.

“He's a dictator that is shredding the Constitution," he said. Shortly after, a car drove by on Greenwich Avenue and the driver beeped the horn while the passengers waved with smiles.

Sare said that people want to wait until the election to remove Obama, but that it's an urgent matter that can't wait.

“I don't even feel like we'll have an election. There are no guarantees,” he said, and added that he doesn't know who he wants to see as president.

As for the Affordable Care Act, Sare said that it encourages apathy and leaves Americans to die because of billions of dollars in cuts to Medicare.

“The health care bill is murder and it nudges people to feel that the elderly will die soon anyway, so why should we pay?” he said.

As Sare repeatedly asked residents if they wanted to help impeach Obama, one man had a short response as he swiftly walked by.

“Get a life,” he said.
