"I'm humbled by your vote of confidence," Tesei said late Tuesday in accepting his victory. "The fact of the matter is that people trust our leadership ... They do not want to go the way of Hartford or Washington, and tonight's results reflect that."
Tesei bested Democratic candidate Elizabeth Krumeich and petitioning candidate James Reilly in winning his fourth term.
About 11,344 votes were cast in Greenwich, about 35 percent of the town's registered voters.
