Monica Maciog, of Monroe, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 26, following a traffic stop on Washington Avenue in Newtown, for having a suspended vehicle registration due to not having insurance, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde.
During the stop, officers found that Maciog also had a suspended driver's license and two active warrant, Bahamonde.
Officers also found Maciog was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
She was charged with possession of narcotics, operation without insurance, operating with a suspended registration, driving with a suspended driver's license, and two counts of failure to appear, Bahamonde said.
Maciog was released after post $1,050 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
