At about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, a lone man entered the bank at 235 Greenwich Ave. at Elm Street and presented the teller with a note demanding cash, said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department.
The bank teller complied, and the suspect left without incident with an undetermined amount of cash, Gray said. No injuries were reported, he said.
The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man in his 50s with blue eyes and a pointy nose, police said. The man is 5-foot-6, heavy set, and very pale with a big belly.
The man was wearing a black skull cap, a black zip-up hoodie, blue jeans, and black low-top laced sneakers. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Greenwich Police Department's tipline at 203-622-3333 or 800-372-1176 or via email at tips@greenwichct.org.
