The temporary staff were unaware of the protective order, police said.
Richard Frese Rousselot, 44, of 32 Grenhart Road, was charged with violation of a protective order and first-degree unlawful restraint. He was held on $5,000 bond for a court appearance Tuesday in state Superior Court in Stamford.
Officers were called to Fairview of Greenwich, at 1188 King St., on a report of a missing person.
The 72-year-old woman's guardian/conservator told officers that the son doesn't have the means or the capability to care for his mother, police said. The guardian believed the son was living at the Super 8 Motel in Stamford, police said.
Officers found the mother and son at the motel on Sunday, police said. The 72-year-old woman didn't appear to know her whereabouts, police said. Officers took her to Stamford Hospital to be evaluated.
