Spencer Crumbsie, 53, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 26, when police responded to the Apple store on Greenwich Avenue for a report of a theft, said Greenwich Police.
Once on the scene, police were told by the store manager, who had reviewed security footage, that Crumbsie had removed the air pods from the shelf and concealed them in his jacket pocket, police said.
Crumbsie, who was still in the store, was arrested as he attempted to walk out of the shop with the items in his pocket.
He was charged larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Crumbsie is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
