Shoplifter Returned From California

A Bronx woman wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court has been brought back from Los Angeles by Greenwich police officers. Shushanna Blake, 30, whose last known address was 3217 Ely Ave. in the Bronx, walked out of Stamford Superior Court and fled two years ago just after she was convicted of shoplifting on Greenwich Avenue. She took off when she learned from her lawyer that she would be sentenced as a persistent offender. A surveillance camera caught Blake walking out the door of the courthouse. She had been in custody in California following an arrest for shoplifting there. She was being held here on a $150,000 bond and was to appear in court Tuesday.
