Police: Man Charged After Refusing To Leave Scene Of Greenwich Apartment Altercation

An allegedly drunk man is in police custody after he refused to leave the stairwell of a Fairfield County apartment building following an early morning incident in Greenwich.

Officers from the Greenwich Police Department responded to a Wilbur Peck apartment complex shortly after 2:15 a.m. on Nov. 7, where there was a report of an intoxicated man that refused to leave.

Police said that upon arrival they found local resident Loushen Johnson, 31, sitting on a stairwell outside the apartment building. The investigation into the incident found that Johnson had been involved in an altercation with one of the residents in the apartment.

Johnson was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was unable to post $1,000 bond and he is being held at the Greenwich Police Department pending his appearance in Stamford Superior Court.
