GREENWICH, Conn. — An 18-year-old Greenwich man was arrested Saturday after an argument became violent, police said.

Andrew J. Merz, of 53 Rodwell Ave., Apt. A, reportedly got into an argument, kicking in the front door of a home and causing it to fly open and strike a victim above the eye. Merz then fled the residence, sparking a search that lasted for several hours, police said. He was found hiding in the basement of a friend’s home.
