Greenwich Police determined that Janina Slomiana vandalized vehicles along Pemberwick Road, police said. Slomiana, a resident of 120 Pemberwick Road, was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
She was later released from custody on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 16.
In other police blotter news:
- A Cos Cob woman was arrested Friday, Sept. 6, at her home at 5 Seitz Lane on an active arrest warrant from the Stamford Superior Court, police said. Brittany Michelle Longo, 19, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny, police reported. She was released after posting $2,500 bond and was assigned to appear in court on Friday.
- Also on Sept. 6, Greenwich Police arrested and charged Miller Pete of 120 Fairmont Ave., New Haven, with illegal sales without a sales tax permit and unlicensed motor vehicles repair. The arrest took place after officers responded to a report of a vehicle break-in on Amogerone Crossway, police said. It turned out Pete was repairing the car but without a license, police said. Pete, 47, posted $500 bond and was assigned to appear in court Friday.
- A 46-year-old Greenwich woman was charged on Saturday, Sept. 7, with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Barbara Peale of 9 North St., Greenwich, was arrested after her family members told police that she may be driving under the influence, a police report said. Peale was released on $250 cash bond and was assigned to appear in court on Monday, Sept. 16.
